Joined Mitsubishi Kasei Corporation (now Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation) in 1993. After engaging in the recording media business, including optical disks, he was seconded to Verbatim Corporation in the United States in 2003. In 2015, he became general manager of the CEO Office at Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Corporation, and in 2016, he joined the Information Electronics Planning Office of the Information Electronics Business Group of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. In 2019, he was appointed general manager of the Semiconductor Materials Department of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, where he led the restructuring of the semiconductor-related materials business. He subsequently served as general manager of the Semiconductor Business Sector, senior director of the Strategy & Planning Department, and business vice president of the Information & Electronics Division.
In April 2024, he was appointed vice president of Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation, overseeing the Advanced Solutions Domain. In April 2025, he became executive officer of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation with responsibility for Advanced Solutions. Following an organizational restructuring in April 2026, he assumed responsibility for Information & Electronics and has held his current position.
