DURABIO™ is a bioengineering plastic made from isosorbide, a renewable plant-derived raw material. It helps reduce the consumption of petroleum, a finite nonrenewable resource, and also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions because the plants that are used as raw materials absorb CO2 during their growth. DURABIO™ provides excellent weather resistance, scratch resistance, and transparency, and is being used in a wide range of fields, including automotive interior and exterior parts, optical and electronic device components, and everyday sundries. DURABIO™ has been adopted by Honda for its outstanding performance that meets the required functions of windshields such as protection against the wind.

As a specialty materials group dedicated to offering innovative solutions, the MCG Group is committed to delivering high-value-added products like DURABIO™ to drive the realization of a sustainable society.
