Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and POETIC CURIOSITY to Present Their First Joint Exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026

In April 2026, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, in collaboration with design studio POETIC CURIOSITY, will participate in the exhibition “MoscaPartners Variations 2026: METAMORPHOSIS” held during Milan Design Week 2026.

At the venue, an installation work will be presented featuring the companyʼs proprietary materials, including DURABIO™(a bio-based engineering plastic), structural colour film, and recyclable polyethylene. Through this installation, the exhibition aims to reveal and reframe the latent and previously unexplored value of each material.

■ Exhibition Concept: Curious Matters

In this exhibition, Mitsubishi Chemicalʼs advanced materials—each possessing a wide range of untapped potential—are reinterpreted as “Curious Matters”: materials that inspire curiosity and invite exploration.

Through this project, material researchers and designers have engaged in continuous dialogue and experimentation, jointly exploring new values and possibilities inherent in these materials. From this process—where technology and sensibility intersect—the exhibition offers clues for redefining the future of materials.
