Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings’ Response to COVID-19【As of May 25】

   Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by COVID-19, their families, and those who lost their lives to this disease. We also extend our deepest gratitude to all of the healthcare workers and other people working to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
 
Our No.1 priority in the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Group is to ensure the health and safety of all of our stakeholders, including our employees, their families, and our customers. We will continue to make the necessary efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are also aware of our social responsibility as a company that supplies a wide range of materials, medical supplies, and other products. We are committed to playing our role in overcoming the current crisis caused by COVID-19 by supplying the products etc. that help to prevent the spread of this disease.

Measures to Contain COVID-19
 
 On May 25, the State of Emergency has been lifted, but workers based in the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Palace Building office are subject to the following 1 and 2 will be extended until June 5th. The following 3 is prohibited in principle for the time being.
 
1. Mode of work
- As a general rule, all officers and employees are required to telework (to minimize the number of people in the office).
 

2. Travel
- As a general rule, all business travel (both domestic and international) is suspended.
   Note: No business travel is permitted, with no exception, to countries and regions designated as “Level 3” (the “Avoid All Travel” category) according to the Travel Advice and Warning system of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 

3. Meetings, conferences, social events, and dining with other people
 - As a general rule, in-person meetings, conferences, and social gatherings (including get-togethers to have meals) are not permitted, regardless of whether they are held as in-house events or otherwise.
 - Going to places is prohibited where large numbers of unspecified people are expected to gather. These include but are not limited to talks/lectures and other social events.
